Conneaut, OH, April 22, 2008: Raceway 7’s second practice of the 2008 season will be held this Friday night, April 25 at 7:30 with all area race cars invited. Grandstand admission will be free for this event, which drew Super Late Models, FASTRAK Late Models, E-Mods, Street Stocks, Mini-Stocks, and a Limited Sprinter. A good size crowd was on hand last week and the concession stands will be open.
The following week, May 2, will see the “Fall into Spring Classic”. The features from the 2007 Fall event were not completed so Raceway 7 will hold a brand new show featuring the ESAB Welding and Fab Fastrak Touring Series, Robert’s Trucking Super Late Models, Zimmer’s Service Center Street Stock Invitational and the Lake Shore Auto Parts Challenger Stock ‘Crack the Whip’. All rain checks from Sept. 7 and 14th will be honored at the exciting and much anticipated season opener. Points racing for the weekly series will begin the following week, May 9th.
A Big Block Modified special is in the planning stages, tentatively set for the last Friday in June with local legend Lou Blaney, father of NASCAR star Dave Blaney, to be honored.
