August 1 - Raceway 7 welcomes the Modified Lite STARS in the first appearance at the Conneaut racetrack. Averaging 30 cars an event a good field is expected to turn out for a chance at the 500 to win. Racing continues with the Precision Weld Fab Fastrak with Jay Watson holding a 27 point lead over Bobby Powell. The E-Mod division continues to be up for grabs with previous point leader Richard Michael dropping to 4th - and only 7 points from gaining it back! New co leaders Ron Roncaglione and Jack Young are tied with a 3 point lead over Gary Eicher. Both Ron and Gary are still looking for their first feature win this season - you won’t want to miss it! Ken Zimmer remains at the top of the Joslin Landis Street Stocks with a narrow edge of 6 points over Dave McLaughlin - One bauble from either driver and things could change again! The Challenger leader has the largest lead with 41 points over Bud Sergeff but still needs to driver carefully in the next 2 weeks to keep his spot!
Raceway 7 is located on Route 7 - just 5 miles south of I 90 in Conneaut, Ohio. The facility is handicap friendly and offers a super ‘track’ food at great prices! DJ Max has been busy entertaining fans before the races and still has lots of Waldameer tickets to give so come early and bring your appetites - for dinner and exciting racing action!
Coming August 8th - Street Stock Shootout with King of the Hill Heats and Limited Sprints. This will be the last night for points in all divisions so watch for more exciting action as our leaders try to hang on!
