Conneaut, OH (August 25, 2008): Raceway 7 has crowned its 2008 champions and will close out the season this Friday with an Open 358 Modified Special. Brad Rapp was victorious in the only previous 2008 appearance on the 358’s and is expected to be on hand to attempt to make it two for 2008.
The 358’s will race a complete program with the Applebee Motorsports E-Mods and Joslin-Landis Insurance Agency Street Stocks will also be on the card with a $1000 to win special for each division. The Challenger Stocks will be racing for addition purse as well, with $300 being the prize for winning.
For the fans it is “Fan Appreciation Night” with several food specials on the menu for $1!
The season is over as last week champions were crowned. In the Precision Weld Fab FASTRAK Late Models Jay Watson came out on top of the standings, adding to his previous Championships in Street Stocks, E-Mods, and Steel Block Late Models. Jack Young won his first Championship at Raceway 7 in the Applebee Motorsports E-Mods with Dave McLaughlin taking the honors in the Joslin-Landis Street Stocks after a thrilling final night of points racing. Ed Huge won the Mini-Stock crown.
D J Max will be on hand to entertain race fans on the midway prior to the racing.
